Before the recent wave of imitations, there was the Infused Grain.

Created by Compass Woodworks Co. and first brought to market in 2021, the Infused Grain was the first all-inclusive cocktail smoker to combine the smoking mechanism, powered airflow, internal smoke delivery, serving surface, and full-glass smoking chamber into one complete handcrafted piece.

This was not a collection of separate smoking accessories placed together on a board. It was an entirely new approach to the smoked-cocktail experience—designed, developed, and handcrafted as one fully integrated system.

Since then, more than 800 full-size Infused Grain smokers have been handcrafted for customers across the United States and Canada. The design earned recognition as a 2021 Our State Made in NC Award winner and is now protected by U.S. Patent No. 12,247,187.

As the popularity of the Infused Grain has grown, so has the number of imitations. While others may attempt to recreate the appearance or concept, the Infused Grain remains the original patented all-inclusive cocktail smoker—the one that established the category in 2021.

Each one is individually handcrafted in North Carolina from carefully selected hardwood, then signed and numbered. Natural grain, figure, spalting, live edges, voids, and epoxy work ensure that every smoker has its own character. Most are never duplicated—and many simply cannot be.

Whether it is created for a wedding, anniversary, retirement, birthday, corporate gift, or your own home bar, the result is something far more personal than an ordinary cocktail accessory.

Choose your wood, epoxy color, hardware finish, and available upgrades to create an Infused Grain that fits your style or tells a meaningful story. Options may include natural void fills, an epoxy river, patina or black textured hardware, double drink wells, a condenser tube, personalized engraving, and an optional hand-blown cloche.

The photographs shown are examples of previous builds and are intended to demonstrate the woods, colors, hardware, and configurations available. Because every piece of wood is different, no two smokers will look exactly alike—even when made from the same species.

I work hard to source lumber with exceptional figure, natural voids, and plenty of character. Pieces capable of producing large epoxy fills or dramatic natural rivers are rare and may command a premium when they become available.

ORDERING YOUR CUSTOM INFUSED GRAIN

Custom orders begin with a $100 deposit, with the remaining balance due when your smoker is complete. The final balance will be invoiced separately through Square.

During checkout, you will have an opportunity to include engraving information, design preferences, or other special requests. You are also welcome to contact me before ordering if you would like to discuss an option or confirm whether a particular request is possible.

Once I complete a smoker with you in mind, I will send photographs for your approval. If you are happy with it, I will send a Square invoice for the remaining balance with your $100 deposit deducted. No engraving will be completed until the Infused Grain has been approved and paid for in full. Once payment is received, your smoker will be engraved, carefully packaged, and shipped.

PLEASE NOTE: The condenser tube and double-well options are not compatible and cannot be selected together.

• Apple, cherry, and pecan smoking chips
• Board butter for conditioning the wood
• Small brush for cleaning the smoking bowl

MORE THAN COCKTAILS

Although designed to create an unforgettable smoked-cocktail presentation, the Infused Grain can also add smoke to meats, cheeses, nuts, popcorn, potato chips, and other foods. From a quiet evening pour to entertaining a room full of guests, it turns the act of adding smoke into part of the experience.

SHIPPING

Free shipping does not apply to custom Infused Grain Cocktail Smokers. For in-stock smokers, the shipping cost is already factored into the listed price. Local pickup may be selected at checkout for any order.

OPTIONAL HAND-BLOWN CLOCHE

Each Infused Grain includes a standard full-size glass cloche. For those wanting to take the piece even further, an individually hand-blown glass cloche is available on a limited basis.

My cost for these cloches more than doubled with my most recent order due to increased material and labor costs, which required a significant increase in the price of this option. I understand that the new price may place the hand-blown cloche out of reach for some customers. However, I would still like to offer it on a limited basis while continuing to support another small business and the craftsmanship that goes into every one.
